Pixel Bounce started because we were bored of brick breakers that are all the same. You bounce a ball, you break bricks, you do it again. Where's the challenge? Where's the reason to keep playing?
So we added boss fights. And achievements. And daily challenges. And a power-up system that actually changes how you play. Suddenly, a "simple" brick breaker became something with real depth.
Here's what's wrong with 99% of brick breaker games:
We wanted to fix all of that.
Boss fights change everything. Every few levels, instead of just breaking bricks, you face a boss. It has a health bar. It shoots at you. It has attack patterns you need to learn. Suddenly you're not just bouncing a ball - you're dodging projectiles while trying to keep the ball alive. It's genuinely challenging.
Power-ups that matter. 12+ power-ups that completely change your strategy. Multi-ball splits your ball into 3. Laser paddle lets you shoot bricks directly. Fireball burns through everything. Magnet lets you catch and aim the ball. Each one changes how you play that level.
Daily challenges keep you coming back. New level every day, same seed for everyone. You can see how you compare to other players. It's a reason to open the game every day without resorting to manipulative "daily login reward" mechanics.
Achievements that mean something. Not "play for 5 minutes" achievements. Real ones: clear a level without missing the ball, beat a boss without taking damage, reach a 50x combo. They test your skill.
We believe simple games can have depth. Chess is simple - 6 piece types, 64 squares. But it has infinite depth. That's what we're going for with Pixel Bounce. Easy to learn, hard to master.
We also believe games should respect your time and your wallet. No ads during gameplay. No premium currency. No "energy" system that makes you wait. Just a game you can play whenever you want, for as long as you want.
Built with Phaser 3 (a solid HTML5 game framework), running entirely in your browser. Works on desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone. Touch controls are first-class - we designed for mobile from day one, not as an afterthought.
The game saves your progress locally. Create an anonymous account to sync across devices. No email required, no personal info collected.
More levels, more bosses, more power-ups. We're also working on a level editor so players can create and share their own levels. And a tournament mode for competitive players.
